HunterDouglas - Technical Lead - Broomfield, CONovember 2024 – Present
  • Key developer and design contributor on a new, high-performance Go microservices suite, centralizing online portals and all ordering and pricing functions for dealers and installers across the company's global operations.
  • Designed and implemented critical Configure Price Quote (CPQ) modules, enabling seamless retrieval of product pricing from diverse ERP systems including North America's SAP instance and South America's D365 system.
  • Achieved a significant performance enhancement for product pricing calls, reducing latency from approximately 2000ms to 100ms by optimizing integration with existing ERP systems.
  • Contributed to architectural decisions, including the implementation of modern security protocols using Zitadel and JWTs.
  • Technical Lead on a major initiative to unify global assets across all HunterDouglas sub-brands (Levolor, CBG, Alta, Enlightened Styles) into a single Sanity content management instance. This includes the replacement of existing portals with new React applications for internal and external user access.
  • Gained experience with Infrastructure as Code principles, utilizing Azure and Terraform for cloud resource provisioning, and managing deployments with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
  • Developed and maintained Bitbucket Pipelines for automated CI/CD processes, facilitating efficient and reliable deployments to Kubernetes clusters.
Levolor (a HunterDouglas brand) - Senior Software Engineer - Atlanta, GADecember 2020 – November 2024
  • Sole developer and maintainer for the Levolor SmartMachine technology, encompassing a React-based Kiosk UI application and a C# Windows Service running across 2000+ machines in Lowe's stores nationwide.
  • Engineered and maintained the C# Windows Service to interface directly with PLC logic and the React UI via various TCP and WebSocket servers, ensuring seamless machine operation and user interaction.
  • Successfully resolved numerous critical bug fixes reported by Lowe's associates, significantly reducing machine downtime and improving operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to manage and improve a complex codebase with high technical debt, ensuring continued functionality and reliability of a widely deployed system.
  • Integrated barcode scanners from multiple vendors into the system, enhancing product id
